Responsible Business Alliance

Longwell promotes responsible business practices to improve social and environmental conditions across the global electronic supply chain by adopting Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), formerly Electronic Industry Code of Conduct (EICC).

RBA outlines standards to ensure that working conditions in the electronics industry supply chain are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that manufacturing processes are environmentally responsible.

Considered as part of the electronics industry for purpose of this code are Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) firms, including contracted labor that may design, market, manufacture and/or provide goods and services that are used to produce electronic goods. The code may be voluntarily adopted by any business in the electronics sector and subsequently applied by that business to its supply chain and subcontractors.

Conflict Minerals Restriction

Since the passage of Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Act of 2010, Longwell's focus has been on ensuring that 3TG sources do not contribute directly or indirectly to armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and adjoining countries. At present, we are taking measures to further expand our due diligence to include specific minerals in our supply chain identified as having originated from other conflict affected and high-risk areas (CAHRAs).
The foundation of Longwell's responsible minerals sourcing policy is based on the framework of the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas (CAHRAs) including Annex II and the related supplements pertaining to downstream companies.  We participate in industry initiatives to create and deploy supply chain verification processes, such as: the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT), Cobalt Reporting Template (CRT), and the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP).
